I wanted a unique way to display my Christmas cards this year.
Plus, I needed motivation to drag this eyesore out of the garage and give it a complete 180, you know what I’m saying?
It was $5 at an estate sale this past summer. I got a pair of Gap Pajamas thrown in too, so I guess it was a little less than that. Either way, really good deal!
Steven removed the canvas “painting” and “linen” matte with a crow bar. This thing was ANCIENT.
It got a light sand and some paint.
I added 4 rows of twine across the back with some dabs of hot glue. I gave the twine a little slack.
Pretty, pretty cards from everybody…ah…I need to get mine done.
Now that Christmas is over, and since I had actually taken the time to print some photos from a photo shoot with the kids over Christmas, I changed my frame up a little…
Just backed my photos with some brown card stock and hung all the photos the same way – with mini clothespins. Year-round artwork!
This project is fast! It probably took me 30 minutes…and only because I had to fix up my frame. This is a nice way to recycle any frames that have broken glass or ugly paintings inside of them.
