Feb28 Before the clock strikes midnight… 2013

I just wanted to give a shout-out to this handsome man before the clock strikes midnight and his 27th birthday is officially over..

Annapolis-&-Company-II

Babe, I know you know firsthand how much you drive me crazy.  Crazy mad and crazy in love all at the same time.  I’m not exactly sure how you’ve managed to pull that off, but you’ve been doing it for years.  You make me want to pull my hair out every cotton-picking-time I find a pair of your shoes stowed in a corner somewhere.  Or when you’re the last one to get up in the morning and you leave the bed unmade.  Or when you tell me to stop over thinking when I’m in the middle of another girl rant.

But you also make me want to tackle you when I find the dishes washed and carefully organized in an OCD way on the countertop of our kitchen.  Or when I catch a glimpse of you attempting to fix Shiloh’s hair for church.  And if you really want to make me go wild, you’ll rub my feet with Aveeno and we’ll watch an episode of Grey’s Anatomy together.  It’s real love.  Real life love.  And I’m glad we’ve worked through a lot of stuff to get that about marriage.

We’ve grown up a lot since 19 and 21, managed to make a lot of mistakes together and go through some pretty rough times, but I’d still rather do that stuff with you than anyone else.  It makes the good times 10 times better, in my opinion.  And it’s worth the muddling through to have what I have with you.

Thanks for sticking with me.  And being my biggest fan.  Thanks for helping me make 3 beautiful kids.  And for helping me teach them about life.  Thanks for being a risk-taker.  And loving adventure as much as I do.  Thanks for being steady, in the midst of my all-over-the-place.  Thanks for being tall, because you know how much I dig that.  Thanks for not being really into sports and more into tech stuff, because I dig that too.  Thanks for reminding me that there is always a new day.  With new tomorrows.  Because I need that a lot.  And thanks for loving me.  Because I love you too.

xoxoxo, mb

p.s. this song makes me cry when i think of you…and i wish i could sing it to you like he sings it….

I’m in love with your photography. Could you would recommend a lens for me? I have a rebel and I’m looking to capture portraits, and still life details around the house:)

Thank you! The sweetest thing you could ever say and I appreciate you taking the time to comment. And let me tell you a secret. I’ve been shooting for 2 years with my Nikon D3100 and I still only own the basic lens that came with mine….and I really don’t know that much about equipment. I am currently saving for an upgrade and will research more the closer I get. But, I always direct people to this list of lenses and their functions: http://missmustardseed.com/2011/09/my-camera-lenses/

Marianne does fantastic photography and spent a good deal of time thoroughly spelling out lenses. I hope that helps you and gives you more insight!
