Feb13 My First Ever Fashion Post. 2013
I must begin with a disclaimer: I know practically nothing about fashion. And to make matters even more interesting, we are on a very tight budget as of the moment. Sounds like a winning combination, no?! {I’m sure you’re dying to read on.}
But I do love it. And when I love something I am a firm believer in making do with what you have. So this is it peeps. My first fashion post that I swore I would never do when I first began blogging. Eating major humble pie over here.
So what do I think about fashion?
//I think it is another way of expressing yourself. And we creative souls need that.
//I think it doesn’t have to be expensive. I am not above buying things at yard sales and thrift stores {As long as it can be washed. And swim wear or underclothes? Gross. Can’t go there. Kudos to you if you can. Sort of.}
//And I think putting effort into fashion makes the husband a little more lovey dovey. At least mine.
You must know that Emma Claire is beginning her career in photography early and took the first two photos of me…on our way to Wal Mart. Way to go, Em! I know I gave you a sneak peak on Monday, but I switched gears a little for this first one. It got so cold overnight and it just felt wrong to post my original outfit, which sported pump sandals and a boho skirt. {Maybe next week if this first one goes ok.} But yes. I’m wearing a dress under my wool sweater. And it’s my favorite thing to do lately. Layering pulls a look together for me and makes me feel “styled”. Plus, Oklahoma weather begins like this in the winter: freezing in the morning, sunny and warm by midday, freezing again in the evening. Having the option to peel off layers is a lifesaver.
